It’s that time of year again where we as a church have the opportunity to bless children in other parts of the world with Christ’s love and the gospel with the gift of a “Christmas shoe box” filled with gifts and much needed items. Each child will hear the gospel, some for the very first time, in their own language through Samaritan’s Purse curriculum, The Greatest Journey. We will be showing video stories of children and families whose lives were forever changed with the simple gift of a “Christmas Shoe Box”. In fact, even our True North Kids are participating as well as they study the same curriculum that the shoe box recipients will study! And they will be putting together their very own shoe box to send to a child! As a church, we are currently collecting your shoe boxes. The final day to drop off your shoe box (es) at church will be Sunday, November 17th. So, start collecting your gifts and supplies. And don’t forget to pray for the children who will be receiving your shoe boxes!
This meeting is open to all church members who, after reviewing the recently revised TNCC Policy Manual, have questions. The Board, consisting of Pastor and the elders, will be present to answer any questions church members may have.
The Board at TNCC is forming a new Activities/Outreach Committee. The purpose of this committee will be two-fold; to provide fellowship and relationship building in the church and to also provide opportunities for evangelistic outreaches. We are looking for 5-6 volunteers to join the committee who have good communication skills, are detail oriented and good with responsible follow-through. More details will be provided at the meeting. See you on Sept. 28th!
