What to Expect

We’re glad you’re here to learn more about our TNCC family! Continuing reading to find out more about our Sunday morning worship, which begins at 10 am and about our mission.

The Little Lights (ages 3-5) and True North Kids (ages 6-11) are dismissed to their kid’s ministry programs after worship. We believe that it is crucial for children to worship the Lord with their family.

The Nest is available during the entire service for infants and toddlers up to 3 years of age. Nursing moms are welcome to use the rocking chairs, crib, and changing table in our Nursery.  Caring for the little ones is important to us.

Our worship sets contain a mix of contemporary worship songs and modernized hymns. During our worship service you may see various expressions of worship to God, such as clapping, raising of hands, and free singing to the Lord. Regardless of how you choose to worship the Lord, He looks at your heart of worship towards Him–not your outward expressions. Outward expressions are simply an individual’s choice to show their love for God.

We believe that the gifts of the Spirit are for the church today, just as it was in New Testament times, and that they should be done in an orderly manner and under the direction of church leadership as outlined in 1 Corinthians 12 and 14.  Of course, if you have any questions about this, please feel free to speak to Pastor Bob and Margaret or one of the elders. We would be happy to answer any questions pertaining to this.

We're Glad You're Here!

At True North Christian Church, our mission is threefold:

One God

First and foremost, the foundation of any active and vibrant Christian church is a strong, growing, personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Relationship building is at the very core of everything we do–starting first with God! We believe that the Good News of salvation transforms lives and propels us to a thriving relationship with Him. We know that once you encounter Him personally, your life will never be the same!

One Body

One of the most noticeable aspects within True North Christian Church is the sincere warmth and friendliness of the people. Many who visit for the first time are surprised to encounter real love demonstrated towards each other and themselves. Jesus said that the world will know His disciples by their acts of love. It is our desire that as we grow in our relationship with God through prayer and the reading of His Word, we will continue to reflect His love both personally and outwardly.  Despite imperfection, we remain one Body of believers united in God’s love and purpose for life! We invite you to come and experience a church body which cares for one another, builds each other up, and encourages each other to walk in God’s original design.

One Purpose

Everyone, young and old, in the Body of Christ has been given specific talents and unique importance in the church. It is the passion of this local body to help everyone discover their specific place within the kingdom–doing so will increase spiritual health and relational growth. However, our gifts and talent aren’t caged within the walls of the church. Rather, we are to reach beyond our local church into our surrounding communities and nations. Jesus instructed His followers in Matthew 28:19-20 to “…make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you.” When we make disciples, we see Christ duplicate that transforming work in the lives of others! This is one of the greatest blessings that we receive as Christians.
